Spring is almost here.. I can feel it! Hope this first week of Lent has been interesting for you guys as it has been for me..

Hello all, Lent is starting tomorrow! Let’s all help support snd pray for each other during these 40 days and build our relationship with God. 
This Friday will be Youth Group at 7pm. We’ll be also sharing about our upcoming community service and fundraiser ideas.
Also, next Sunday, English Service will be officially starting at 9:00am. Please be on time!

Momentum
This Friday there is a special event held at Kent Church called “Momentum” at 6.30PM. We will be meeting at church at 5.00PM and heading out at 5.30PM, so please be on time! Also, make sure that your parents know that you WILL be coming home later than normal. Hope to see you all there! Have a great rest of the week.

In regards to this Friday…
PJ is checking up on the guest speaker, but with or without a guest speaker, there is still bible study! If there is no guest speaker, the bible study will be based on one of the subthemes for “LIVING IT!” which is “Language of Grace”. The women’s group will still be cooking, so come at 6pm for dinner!
Also, the Youth Group will be singing a special song on Sunday, February 22, not the 15th. Please keep that in mind and if anyone would like to make arrangements for that, let me know.
A Prayer Wall will soon be created, as soon as I figure out a good way to do it… Hmmm. It will be up.. REALLL soon. Heh.

Guest Speaker?
This Friday, Thanh/Thieu Nien will have a guest speaker this Friday. At 6pm, the Women’s group will be cooking food, so come at 6 to eat dinner! At 7 there will be Bible Study and possibly the guest speaker sharing with us. (Sorry, I’m not really sure… someone tell me the correct infromation? Haa.)

We’ll be haing our Theme Launch this Friday!
College/Career and Youth Group will be having separate launches, but will be doing potluck together! So here’s the list of food people said they would bring:

This upcoming Friday
Youth Group: We’ll be having a few activities to do. First off is a sign up sheet for people who would like to lead praise. Second, we’ll be brainstorming ideas for fundraisers and community service. We’ll be having YG upstairs (at the very top) since College and Career will be having their monthly community service.
College and Career: As far as I’m concerned, I believe Thanh Nien will be meeting up and cleaning up the entire church. For more information, please contact Stine.

Finalizing
Youth Group and College/Career group will be CANCELLED tomorrow night so both groups (as well as the rest of the church) will rehearse for Tet. So if you are a part of the Tet program, please come! And please pass the news on to others so they know what’s up.
English Service will be start at 9.00AM starting February, instead of 9.15AM.

Quick news…
From the recent news I’ve received, the Women and Men’s group will be rehearsing for their tet “skit” this Friday, so there will be a possibility of Youth Group/College and Career being cancelled. We are waiting upon PJ’s reply, so if it is or isn’t, I will report to you via Twitter, calling, WordPress, whatever. Also, for those of you who have not yet signed up with Twitter and can text, PLEASE SIGN UP. Instant updates to your phone!
Tet (Vietnamese New Years) is coming up this SATURDAY (January 24) starting at 6:00PM. Come and celebrate the new year with the church!
If not this Friday, then this Sunday I will be explaining and passing around a “Praise sign-up sheet”. Basically, for those of you who would like to volunteer to lead or help out with praise on Friday nights (and maybe Sunday mornings), just sign up! If any of you need help with playing anything, I will help you out, just ask!
Remember to pray for the students who will be having finals this week or next week, as well as those who may have mid-terms.
